Who We Are

The Pradella Property Ventures Group is known as one of Queensland’s longest running, most successful innovative Property Development companies. Pradella Property Ventures was formerly part of the Pradella Group of Companies, managed by both David Pradella and his brother Kim Pradella. A corporate restructure in 2007 resulted in Pradella Property Ventures moving forward under its own banner. 

David   David Pradella,  Managing Director  

David Pradella first graduated from the Queensland Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Business (Management) in 1978. David was awarded the Malcolm More Medallion for Outstanding Performance in Management Studies. He immediately proceeded to work in America for the Best Western Hotel Group as a trainee manager returning home a year later to work with Travelodge Group.

Whilst overseas David observed the trend towards self catered accommodation and in 1981 with his older brother Silvio designed, built and operated the first purpose built apartment hotel complex in Australia.

David returned to Queensland University of Technology to complete his Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) on a part time basis and by 1984 had established the first serviced apartment accommodation chain in Australia under the banner Central Apartments and Hotels.

Later David’s career progressed to be the Chief Financial Officer of the Pradella Group that encompassed Residential Construction, Manufacture of Steel Tube and Pipe and the Operation of serviced apartments.

From 2001, David was Joint Managing Director of the Pradella Group with his younger brother Kim. The group specialises in Construction, Development, Hotel and the Property Management . Pradella is now one of Queensland’s most awarded developer, builders and property managers.

David has also served as a director on the Qld Government Board of Queensland Tourism and Travel Corporation and Enertrade. David was also recognised by the Queensland University of Technology as its Outstanding Alumni Winner for Business in 2006.  

In 2010 David was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Hotels and Motels Association of Australia for his work within the industry.

A corporate restructure of the Pradella Group in early 2007 saw David become the Managing Director of Pradella Property Ventures. Pradella Property Ventures is a syndicator with various interests encompassing residential property development and manufactured home parks.

   WARREN HARRIS,  Chief Executive Officer

Warren joined our team in 2018 and brings with him 19 years development management experience plus 10 years town planning & urban design consultancy experience.  He has worked in public and private development companies as well as within a number of building companies to deliver a range of urban projects.

 

Warren has particular expertise negotiating development approvals and infrastructure agreements as well as stakeholder management. He is experienced with managing all facets of civil/infrastructure works, energy/telecommunication works and building works. Warren has a passion for deriving sustainable outcomes in urban projects.  Warren has also represented the development/property industry for the last 18 years as an active member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) and served as UDIA (Qld) President (2009-2011) and was awarded Life Member of UDIA Qld in 2016.  He has also mentored Post-Graduate Planning students (QUT) and development professionals.

   ELAINE OPFERKUCH,  CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Elaine joined Pradella Property Ventures in 2010 and brings with her over 20 years experience working within the property development industry, having previously been the Chief Financial Officer of Sunland Group and Berela Limited. She has significant experience in large scale acquisitions, funding negotiation, monetary control and company secretarial matters. 

   Mark Richards,  CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER & Inhouse Counsel

Mark Richards has worked alongside the Pradella Group for over 30 years in his previous roles at HWL Ebsworth, LeMass Solicitors and MC Richards & Associates.  Mark has been Inhouse Counsel for both Pradella Property Ventures and Pradella Developments since 2009.  Mark has a wealth of experience in property law, large scale property developments, construction law, leasing, management rights and manufactured homes. In late 2017 Mark accepted the role of Chief Operations Officer within our team, and is now responsible for overseeing the operations of our Seachange Lifestyle Villages.

   Alex McMahon,  Director of Sales and Marketing

Alex has been an integral member of our Pradella team since 2011, having previously worked on large scale projects at Niecon Developments and RBR Property Consultants.  After successfully delivering our Award Winning Seachange Village Arundel and Seachange Emerald Lakes projects, Alex accepted the role of our Director of Sales and Marketing in 2016.  He utilises his expert knowledge of the local market and his highly developed communication skills to support our outstanding Sales and Marketing team to deliver the best outcomes for our Buyers.

   Sarah Woodyatt,  Financial Controller

Sarah joined Seachange Lifestyle Resorts in 2013 and became Financial Controller of Pradella Property Ventures in 2015. A Certified Practising Accountant, Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience across a diverse range of industries and company structures.  Sarah is responsible for the management of the accounting and financial requirements for Pradella Property Ventures entities. Her experience in management of accounting teams and attention to detail ensures consistent, high level communication and information to company directors in a constantly evolving property sector.

   JOHN PRADELLA, PROJECT MANAGER

After graduating QUT University with his Bachelor of Construction Management, John went to work for Pradella Constructions Pty Ltd, learning the family business from the ground up.  In 2015 he came on board with Pradella Property Ventures as an Assistant Project Manager at Canopy Bardon, before taking on the role of Project Manager for the 6 stage Canopy Bardon strata development.  John is currently Project Manager of Seachange Riverside Coomera.

   Mia Pradella, OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Mia completed a Bachelor of Design from QUT University before starting in the family business in the marketing department of Pradella Developments Pty Ltd.  In this capacity she assisted the coordination and delivery of the marketing program for 5 projects (7 high rise residential buildings) including Kim Pradella’s $1 billion mixed-use lifestyle precinct in West End.  To enhance her marketing and design experience, Mia spent time studying Interior Design in Italy before taking a role at Savills in their Sydney Head Office as a Project Marketing Executive.   In 2017 she returned to Pradella Property Ventures and currently assists our Chief Operations Officer with the operations of our Seachange Lifestyle Resorts, whilst also Project Managing small scale family developments.


   Denise Hartley, Paralegal and EA to David Pradella

Denise has worked alongside the Pradella Group since 2002 in her roles at HWL Ebsworth and LeMass Solicitors.  She has over 20 years experience in property development, leasing, personal injuries and insurance law. In 2009 Denise joined Pradella Property Ventures as Executive Assistant to David Pradella.  She also operates as Paralegal on our manufactured home park and strata title developments and assists with inhouse legal and insurance matters.
